You want to grow your own organic home garden in South Florida, but you just don’t know how to begin.

Maybe you’ve already started your organic home garden, but it’s not what you imagined. Your plants are growing slow, pests are attacking you, and it sure does not look like the gardens you are seeing online.

You are more than ready to grow an organic home garden without chemicals. You want to know exactly where your food comes from. But now you’re wondering if that’s even possible in South Florida.

What type of soil do I use?
Which plants grow well?
How do I safely manage all of these bugs?
When do  I water?

All of this can become super overwhelming, leaving you stuck and confused. Especially with so many YouTube videos and blog posts contradicting each other.

We are here to tell you that you can do it.
We are here to share with you all of our skills from years of farming.
We are here to provide you with the same exact materials we use as organic farmers.
We are here for when you need organic gardening to be easy.

How we can help your organic home garden grow

If you are a do-it yourself gardener, we’ve got all the plants and materials you need to start up a organic garden.

If you need a more hands on approach, we offer designs, consulting, installations, and garden support.

What you won’t find with us

Out of season plants the big box stores sell? Not here! We only sell what’s in season to ensure your success.

Only your basic vegetable and flower plants? No way! We grow over 200 types of plants throughout the year, not including all the different varieties.

A million types of soils, pest control products, and fertilizers? Wrong place. We only stock what we works for us as organic farmers.

Conventionally grown plants? Forget that! We start all of our plants in house so we know exactly how they’ve been grown.

Products labeled as “natural” but aren’t allowed to be used by organic farmers. Get out of here with that nonsense! We have high standards, with organic being our bare minimum requirement.

A huge pile of plastic after you finish gardening? Yeah, right! We work hard to be low waste. The majority of our packaging is degradable or can be reused.

Terrible advice or shaming? Never. The rare occasion you do stump us, we’ll be honest and encouraged to learn with you.

We are straight forward, only use organic practices, and just want organic gardening to be easy for you.

Tree Amigos Growers was created by organic farmers for people who need organic home gardening to be easy in South Florida.

Our brief backstory

With over 15 years combined experience managing small organic farms in South Florida, Santiago and Jason understood the three main threats to our local food security.

South Florida has poor availability to locally grown organic food

South Florida farming industry consists of large scale, conventional, mono crop fields. Over 80% of this food is exported out of the state. Because of this, when you go to a farmers market there is very little locally grown and organic food. Most the times, you can purchase the same produce at your grocery store.

South Florida has low access to affordable farm land

The land of our previous farm, got sold leaving us high and dry. South Florida is still in it’s prime development stages. Urban sprawl is eating up valuable farm land. With the average cost of farmland being $150,000 per acre its near impossible for a small farm to start up.

Lack of experience for growing organic food

We have an amazing ability to grow food all year round. But who is doing it? South Florida will never feed their large population when there are very few organic farmers that have experience.

So why Tree Amigos Growers?

We decided to make some changes to the norm. After seeing farm projects fail, losing our farm because a landowner sold it, and seeing people not have access to safe food it was time to do something different or move on.

South Florida has too much potential.
